A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

A. P. J. Abdul Kalam was the former President of India and a world-renowned aerospace scientist. He worked at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on civilian space programmes and military missile development projects, earning the name of “Missile Man of India” for his contribution to the development of ballistic missiles and launch vehicle technology. He served as the President of India from 2002 to 2007 and was popularly called the “People’s President”. He is the recipient of many awards and honours, both in his lifetime and posthumously, including the Bharat Ratna - India’s highest Civilian honour.
