Arundhati Roy

Arundhati Roy is an Indian best-selling author, actor and political activist. Her novel “The God of Small Things” won the Man Booker Prize for Fiction in 1997, and she has also been awarded the Norman Mailer Prize for Distinguished Writing in 2011. She is an active voice for human rights and environmental causes, and has been awarded the Sydney Peace Prize as well as a special recognition as a Woman of Peace at the Global Exchange Human Rights Awards for her advocacy of non-violence.
