Bernard Shaw

George Bernard Shaw, better known as Bernard Shaw was an Irish playwright, political activist and a leading dramatist of his generation. He wrote more than 60 plays, including Man and Superman, Pygmalion and Saint Joan, and received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1925. His screenplay for the movie, Pygmalion, also won him an Academy Award in 1938. He has been rated as one of the greatest British dramatists of all times, only second to Shakespeare.
