Jane Austen

Jane Austen was an eighteenth-century English novelist, whose works of romantic fiction involving characters based out ordinary people in everyday life are considered as timeless classics. Four of her major novels were published during her lifetime – Sense and Sensibility, Pride and Prejudice, Mansfield Park and Emma, while Persuasion and Northanger Abbey were published posthumously. Her novels are popular and well-read even today, and have been adapted into award-winning movies, plays and musicals.
