Rudyard Kipling was one of the best-known English novelists and poets of the late Victorian era. His many works include the novel “The Jungle Book”, which is still widely popular and has been adapted into many movies and remakes. In 1907, at the age of 41, he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature, becoming the first English Language writer as well as the youngest recipient of this award, to date. He was also offered the British Poet Laureateship and the knighthood several times, but declined both. Unbeknownst to many, he was an accomplished artist and had produced many beautiful illustrations in his lifetime.
