William Shakespeare

He was a renowned English poet, actor and recognized by the world to be the greatest playwright who has ever lived. Shakespeare played an important role in the King’s Men group of theatrical players from the year 1594 onwards. He wrote over 150 short and long poems and at least 38 plays, many of which are considered the finest ever written in history. Some of his famous works like Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, The Tempest, and King Lear are still widely performed in theatrical plays today.
